Christmas Treasures 2009
The holidays can be a stressful time for many families but can be especially difficult for those the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center (WCCAC) serves. The WCCAC asked the community to help us provide Christmas to children who otherwise might not have one and we received an amazing response.
We just completed our 6th annual Christmas Treasures toy drive and party. Because of the generous donations from our community, we were able to provide 25 families (63 children) with Christmas gifts this year.
We want to thank Dennis Reynolds and Shelley Cohen for allowing us to have the Christmas Treasures Party at their beautiful facility called DoubleCreek. In addition, we want to thank Ron Garrison, Amy Bradford, and Kenny Durham, who are DoubleCreek board members that generously donated their time for the Christmas Treasures party. "Cowboy Kenny" (Kenny Durham) sang Christmas carols with the children. Mrs. Claus (Amy Bradford) was there to assist with games and snacks and to help keep the kids entertained. And of course no Christmas party would be complete without Santa (Ron Garrison) there to hear the children’s Christmas wishes.
We also want to thank the following people and agencies for their help with the toy drive and party:
everyone in the community who donated toys
CAC board members
District Attorney's office in Franklin
Gymboree Play & Music (Cool Springs)
Salon P'Nash
the Spring Hill Mom's Group
residents of Wakefield subdivision (Spring Hill)
Subway in Hohenwald, TN
Pizza Hut in Hohenwald, TN
Thank you for your continued support!
